Efter to dage, hvor st\u00f8rstedelen af tiden er brugt i vores Spaceship p\u00e5 Bruce Highway, har vi forladt troperne og befinder os nu p\u00e5 en campingplads \u2013 med internetforbindelse – i Woodgate ved Burrum Coast National Park. Vi n\u00e6rmer os Brisbane, der kun ligger 4 timers k\u00f8rsel herfra. Men siden sidste blogindl\u00e6g har vi v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 ‘Night walk’ i Kingfisher Park’, hvor vi var ud med spotlights og lede efter nataktive fugle og dyr. En fed oplevelse, der gav Eastern Barnowl, Platypus aka N\u00e6bdyr, Striped Possum, Bandicoots, Fruitfoxes, Green Treefrog, en flot Gekko.<\/div>\n

Vi returnerede til Cairns, hvorfra vi var p\u00e5 tur til Great Barrier Reef \u2013 n\u00e6rmere bestemt Michaelmas Cay. En lille \u00f8 proppet med ynglede terner, hovedsaglit Brown Noddy. Vi s\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 min. 5 Great Frigatebird \u2013 og de er store! Og s\u00e5 snorklede vi og s\u00e5 fisk i farver og havde et par rundture ved revet i en ‘semi u-b\u00e5d’, hvor vi ud over en v\u00e6ldig masse sjove, flotte og imponerende koraller ogs\u00e5 havskildpadder (Green Turtle) og en haj, som jeg simpelthen ikke kan huske, hvad var for en \u2013 men den havde pletter p\u00e5 kroppen.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
L\u00e6ngere mod syd var vi i Tyto Wetlands, der er et rigtig godt fuglested, hvilket ogs\u00e5 lige var med til at pumpe turlisten. Her var der ogs\u00e5 p\u00e6nt mange Agile Wallabies \u2013 en sjov lille k\u00e6nguroting.<\/div>\n

Ved Birthday Creak Falls i Paluma Nationalpark s\u00e5 vi Golden Borwerbird og Victoria’s Riflebird, og vi overnattede ved Lake Paluma. Og sjovt nok s\u00e5 hver gang vi tager op i det h\u00f8jtl\u00e6ggende regnskove blev der der d\u00e5rligt vejr \u2013 regn, lyn og torden hele natten.<\/div>\n

Og s\u00e5 er det endelig ogs\u00e5 blevet tid til en ny omgang af Rejsequizzen:<\/div>\n
