Alts\u00e5 badevandet nedenfor vores hus. Vi tog lige en dukkert i Strait of Georgia inden vi gik op og lavede aftensmad. F\u00f8r det havde vi taget en lille runde i havkajakkerne for lige at f\u00e5 dem afpr\u00f8vet &#8211; og det var godt med en tur p\u00e5 vandet. Vi var med p\u00e5 Sunday Bird Walk, der er ugentlige fugleture i Nanaimo regionen, som arrangeres af The Backyard Wildbird &amp; Nature Store. Vi var 27 birders fra Danmark, China, Japan, New<br \/>Brunswick, Quenell and Vancouver Island (heraf en oprindeligt fra Tjekkiet). Det var en v\u00e6ldig hyggelig tur med en masse s\u00f8de og venlige mennesker, og n\u00e6sten inden turen rigtig var kommet igang blev<br \/>vi inviteret til New Brunswick (over p\u00e5 den anden side af Canada), vi skulle bare fodre katten. Et andet \u00e6ldre \u00e6gtepar viste sig, at bo 2-300 m fra os, og de har lovet at vise os nogle af de sm\u00e5 gode lokaliteter i Nanooseomr\u00e5det. Af dem fik vi ogs\u00e5 en masse andre tips til ture p\u00e5 Vancouver Island. En af dagene skal vi over til kaffe og natur og fuglesnak og om 14 dage tager de os med til fuglefotofremvisning i den lokale Naturforening. Men der blev ogs\u00e5 set nogle fugle, og vi fik pumpet vores liste. Men en af dagens absolutte h\u00f8jdepunkter var &#8211; Bzzzzzzzzzz &#8211; hummers! Jeps, vi fik set 3 Anna&#8217;s Hummingbirds eller p\u00e5 dansk Kolibrier! De var sjove selvom vi ikke engan fik set dem t\u00e6t p\u00e5, men deres stemmer og adf\u00e6rd var ret speciel.<br \/>I morgen (September 1) er Labour Day, hvilket betyder, at nogle holder fri, har kortere \u00e5bningstid og andre helt u\u00e6ndret. Det er ikke helt afgjort hvordan Nanoose Post vil udkomme, men det kan forventes, at vi udkommer senere. Men det har s\u00e5 slet ikke noget med Labour Day at g\u00f8re, men fordi vi lige dr\u00f8ner op nordp\u00e5 og tager p\u00e5 Whale Watching.
