Det er egentlig utroligt, at vi har set s\u00e5 f\u00e5 meget store mennesker p\u00e5 vores tur med den mad der bliver serveret! Her p\u00e5 Vancouver Island ser folk rimelig meget ud som derhjemme. P\u00e5 et andet punkt minder canadierne ogs\u00e5 om danskere – de er meget tilbageholdende og slet ikke overvenlige og \u00e5bne som vi oplevede det i Seattle.
Vejret blev bedre i dag, hvor man n\u00e6rmest fr\u00f8s og skulle have hue og vanter p\u00e5, kom solen frem, vinden l\u00f8jede af og temperaturen n\u00e5ede over 20 C. Derfor n\u00f8d vi en sk\u00e5l eftermiddagsis p\u00e5 terrassen mens vi faldt hen i den smukke udsigt.

Vi k\u00f8rte lidt op ad kysten i dag, op til Qualicum Beach. Et sted hvor folk gik og samlede muslinger. Derfra k\u00f8rte vi sydp\u00e5 igen og indtog den f\u00f8rn\u00e6vnte frokost. Ved French Creek Marina s\u00e5 vi Killdere, Greater Yellowleg og Black Swift. De allesteds n\u00e6rv\u00e6rende kalkungrippe (Turkey Volture)kredsede over omr\u00e5det. Vi k\u00f8rte igen i dag forbi Englishman River Estuary og s\u00e5 60 Western Sandpiper, der er en af de 3 “peeps” som de herover kalder de tre sm\u00e5 rylearter,som ligner hinanden. Vi s\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 nogle Surf Scooters (Brille\u00e6nder) tr\u00e6kke forbi.
M\u00f8rket er faldet p\u00e5, vi hygger til Sigur Ros og Pink Floyd fra Eileens iTunes, samtidig med at man kan h\u00f8re havets brusen og snart kan vi se stjernerne igennem stuens ovenlysvindue.
