Sidst på eftermiddagen besøgte vi Avnø Naturcenter (mellem Næstved og Vordingborg), hvor vi mellem de mange tusinde  bramgæs (Branta leucopsis) også så tre flotte rødhalset gæs (Branta ruficollis) 😊 //
Late in the afternoon we visited the Avnø Nature Center (between Næstved and Vordingborg), where among the thousands of barnacle geese (Branta leucopsis) we also saw three beautiful red-breasted geese (Branta ruficollis) 😊 //
A última hora de la tarde visitamos el Centro de La Naturaleza de Avnó (entre Nistved y Vordingborg), donde entre los miles Barnacla cariblanca (Branta leucopsis) también vimos tres hermosos Barnacla cuellirroja (Branta ruficollis) 😊

Rare or uncommon birds can turn up anywhere! This Rare or uncommon birds can turn up anywhere! This male Red-crested Pochard has been visiting the center of Copenhagen for about 5 days now.⁠

Red-crested Pochard is a diving duck but actually feeds mainly by dabling and upending. Red-crested Pochard has a scattered breeding distribution in Europe. Only a few pairs breeds in Denmark. The bulk of population is from Black Sea to NW China and W Mongolia. It winters in Mediterranian Basin, C Europe, around Black and Caspian Seas E to India and SW China.⁠

There was plenty of water, but where were the Swif There was plenty of water, but where were the Swifts? It was late May and we were at the famous Iguazu Falls in Iguazu National Park. The swifts we were looking for were the Great Dusky Swift (Cypseloides senex) – the bird in the national park’s logo.⁠
