February 21st. 2018, Slowdive, VEGA (Store VEGA), Copenhagen.

It was a slow dive when Slowdive was playing at VEGA (Store VEGA) in Copenhagen. The venue full and packed with shoegazer fans. They played a good concert at Roskilde Festival in 2017 so we were looking forward to hearing them again on this cold February night.

Unfortunately, the sound wasn’t great – actually it was bad! At least the first half of the concert the sound was very messy and it was especially the balance between the echoing guitars and vocals. It got better but it took quite some of the joy out of it all. We were in the back at Store VEGA and this may not be the best spot sound vice. But I don’t think that was the complete reason – maybe the fact that the sound engineer guy spent more time watching a football (soccer) match on his phone!
